Listen & Speak could be a good, free Android app for students learning English, Spanish, or French to use for independent practice. The feedback feature will help students recognize errors in their pronunciations and correct them before moving on to more difficult words and phrases.

Although Spotify is usually thought of as a social music app, it also offers the ability to combine your music library with theirs. If any of your tracks or albums are already in the Spotify, with a single click, you'll have access to Spotify extras such as artist info and ease of social sharing. Desktop features are free for everyone, but some of Spotify's best mobile features, such WiFi syncing to your phone, are reserved for Premium members, which costs $9.99 a month.

The right side of any given page (see the second link, below), is pretty ad-heavy, but it still looks like a good site for creativity and inspiration to me.

Google Certified Teacher Aaron Slutsky created a YouTube channel covering all sorts of this-and-that related to Google Docs.

It really is free, though on their "pricing" tab, they reserve the right to start a premium service at some point in the future. I haven't actually used it, but would be curious what folks on this list who try it think of its features.
