Lok Sabha election schedule 2014 - The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2014. The upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be held in nine phases from April 7, 2014 to May 12, 2014. The Election Commission also announced that the elections will be held for state assemblies of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim between April 7 and May 12 with the Lok Sabha polls.

Dhaka: Sushma Swaraj visit Bangladesh - On Thursday, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj held talks with her Bangladeshi counterpart Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on key bilateral issues, including Land Boundary Agreement and proposed Teesta river water sharing deal. Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to meet Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abdul Hassan Mahmood Ali first and will later meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

New Delhi: Sunil Gavaskar interim BCCI head - The Supreme Court appointed former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar as the interim head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday in place of the scandalous incumbent N Srinivasan.
