Google Apps for Education Integration in the Classroom - 0 views

  • If you create wikis for each student as an ePortfolio and showcase of their work, your students can now include and share all of their Google Docs work. They can easily create new Google Documents from within Wikispaces or move existing Google Documents into and out of their wiki. It’s so easy for students to organize and present their artifacts, add reflections, and put context around their work in your class for parent conferences.

"This workshop was originally developed by Mark Wagner, Ph.D., President & CEO, EdTechTeam, Inc., to introduce educators to the read/write web. This wiki is a template that you can use for any Professional Development or Training sessions that address the use of wikis in education. With Mark's permission, we are making it available to educational technologists who are looking for tools to show their teams what can be accomplished with wikis in general - and Wikispaces in particular - in the K-12 environment."

Learning and Laptops: Wikified Research Paper- Year 2 - 1 views

  • A WRP, or wikified research paper, is made on wikispaces.com and allows students to link to resources within their papers, along with embedding various images and videos within their papers

Note that she has them use a wiki. I'm not insisting on that because some districts still block wikis. Plus, it's then a matter of deciding on Public vs Private. If you choose Word then the links are there but it's just to be turned in - if that's your preference.
  • This knowledge of worldwide access to their papers has seemingly inspired students to give extra time and care to their papers, because they understand how many people could be reading them in the future. -Hannah L

Did you also notice that this post was written by a student? But, I like what this paragraph says about motivation, don't you?
