This was a problem I wouldn't have thought about when thinking of wind turbines. I'm not sure I'd want dead bats lying around my property....

    Research Topic
My research topic is wind energy, especially wind turbines. I chose this because my husband has been interested in this for awhile and now we're seeing more wind turbines in our area. I wanted to learn more to see if it was something we'd want to consider.

    I found the following resources:

    Wind Power.
    Author: D. Hosansky.

Turbines in the BNackyard: The Sound and the Strobes.
    Author: A. Webster

    How to Make Energy Competitive
    Author: F. Mormann & D. Reicher

My favorite website is naeyc.org. This stands for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. As a preschool teacher, I try to stay informed on information and articles pertaining to young children. You don't have to be a member to read the articles. I have passed along information I've read to the parents of my students, but also found it helpful for some of my classes in Early Childhood.
