Here is an example of a website a teacher is using for reading "The Devil's Arithmetic". I have saved it as a skeleton for planning student websites. If you use Google sites, you can also include student discussion boards, shared Google Docs, etc.

Learn how to use Skype on your iOS devices (iPad, iPod touch, etc). Even though Facetime is an easy app to use with iOS, sometimes you want to call someone who isn't on a Mac (or you might just be a Skype user).

I just found this site and it seems to be pretty useful. There are resources like worksheets and games. The games are hit and miss but I like the fraction pizza game and the Symmetry game goes great with math lessons I used to do when I was in third grade. - Courtney A

Courtney found this great site and says... I belong to a teacher blog for primary grades and the owner just posted this site\. It's a public school site from Virginia. It has resources broken down by grade level, then subject, then GLE. Some of the sites are older but I've found some that have Ipad apps so it appears to be somewhat current. Enjoy!

Interesting way to use Google Calendar. You can share an appointment with a guest so they don't need access to Google, but to see the entire page of appointments available you have to have a Google account. This would be great for scheduling PT Conferences, but with the need to have a Google account, I'm not sure that is realistic to think all parents will have an account. I can see students signing up for study sessions, etc.

How technology has changed throughout the years in the classroom

This is a really great post to get you thinking about how you can use mindmaps in your class to help students organize their thoughts and connect their learning. Note that often mindmaps are a great source of formative assessment!
