YouTube's video and short quiz designed to help young people better understand use of intellectual property relating to re-posting and remixing. In the video, young pirate Russell copies a music video on his cell phone and posts in on YouTube. He is warned that he could loose his booty and get banned for life! The film goes on to discuss remixing, fair use, and the possibility of YouTube takedowns, with a small print approach to the legal-eze. It encourages the creation of original work. The tone is intentionally comic melodramatic, in 1950s instructional cartoon style.

Wikibrains is a neat website designed to help you brainstorm in a web format. When you brainstorm on Wikibrains you're also performing a basic Internet search at the same time. To create a brainstorm web on Wikibrains start by entering one word or phrase. When you enter a word you will be prompted to add more words by completing the phrase, "Makes me think off..." Each new word or phrase that you enter will be added to your web. As you enter words on the right side of the screen you will see links to search results about each word.
Instructure Canvas is a free learning management system that teachers can use to record grades, post assignments, and interact with their students. Students can use Instructure Canvas to communicate with each other and collaborate on assignments. Instructure Canvas integrates Facebooks, Google Docs, and email systems outside of Instructure. Another neat feature of Instructure Canvas is that students can subscribe to RSS, email, and cell phone alerts to stay abreast of any new content their teachers post.
