Gooru is a new service (still carrying the Alpha label) that aims to provide teachers and students with an extensive collection of videos, interactive displays, documents, diagrams, and quizzes for learning about topics in math and science. As a Gooru member you have access to hundreds of resources according to subject areas such as chemistry, biology, ecology, algebra, calculus, and more. Within each subject area you can look for resources according to media type such as video, interactive display, slides, text, and lesson plans. When you find resources that you want to use, drag them to the resources folder within your account. Gooru also offers you the option to add resources to your folders even if you did not find them within Gooru

Great app for the ability to access you files on another computer over wifi. Being the tech teacher I have multiple computers and devices. This app allows me to instantly access files on my other devices. Free to access 1 other device. I will be upgrading for multiple devices! 

provides a free community for educators to share and discuss their plans around Common Core standards. As a member of the community you can browse and download the materials shared by other educators. There are currently more than one hundred pages of shared materials. Of course, as a member of the community you can share your own materials. You can also follow and have threaded Twitter-style discussions with other members of the community. All materials found in Mastery Connect are tied to specific standards in the Common Core.

Time is of the essence to all of us, and it's difficult to find the time to go through all of the education apps in the iTunes Store that would be useful to us. This is a starter list to some valuable apps for the main subject areas. The author of the site is Australian, so some subject areas are different from ours, but the information is useful.
