For the iPad-using US History teachers and students out there, here is an excellent app that I learned about through the US History Teacher's Blog. The Revolution: Interactive Guide is an interactive textbook about the American Revolution. The video embedded below provides a detailed overview of the app. Here are a few of the highlights of the app: Narration of text. Quizzes after each section. Interactive images. Movie Cutouts is a site that sells cardboard stand ups and wall graphics of current celebrities as well as historical figures, documents, and objects. Great for History teachers - has a big collection of history related items, i.e., stand ups of historical figures, 4 foot tall historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Has collections of Presidents, American Revolution figures, Civil War figures, historical documents, and many more.
