This site has math games that kids may like to use to practice their fractions skills. There are many different games that deal with different areas of fractions. This is a fun way for children to engage in working with fractions. 

This site has simple explanations of ways to solve or simplify fractions. For visual learners, there is a section that uses pictures to show equivalent fractions. There are also tutorials on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.

The following resources are designed for third graders and their teachers.

Four specific benefits to using technology in the classroom.  Discusses the benefits of blended learning.  Also discusses the cons of blended learning and what teachers can do to avoid misuse pf technology.  

"It's like Facebook for school," Martin said. "When I'm working on an assignment, I can see who else is working on that assignment right then and we can help each other." English teacher Joy White said the online platform is also useful when students miss class. "I have a student who broke his leg," she said. "Now he can easily keep up with what he missed, still participate in online discussions, reach me easily to ask questions and make sure he stays on track." Most of the teachers' TISD email accounts are connected to their phones so they can answer questions about homework in the evening, officials said. "That way, students have their questions answered before they come to class," Director of Communications Matthew LeBlanc said.  "They have any confusion about a subject cleared up ahead of time so they are ready to learn during actual class time," he said.

Technology is becoming an everyday use in classrooms worldwide and this site gives statistics and information about why it is working and the positive effects it has on the children, as well as, the teachers. "Not only do they believe that technology enables a more hands-on experience that allows students to better understand concepts and test theories, but 90 percent of U.S. teachers say modern technology in the classroom is important for students' success."
