Technology should be utilized as academically and developmentally appropriate.1st – 5th Grade: One or two assured experiences required each month, depending on the month and grade level. Numerous integration activities should be utilized throughout the year as they fit into the curriculum, with technology being the most appropriate tool for the activity. Planning is done at the school level with the Instructional Technology Specialist, who will also consult with the LIT.
  • Focus on keyboard familiarity in K-2nd . Begin formal keyboarding instruction in 3rd grade usinglaptops in classrooms when available or use classroom desktop computers.
