The National Center for Earth and Space Science Education has a great motto "Inspire...then Educate." The NCESSE is a great resource for STEM teachers as it creates and oversees different initiatives, projects, and educational resources in these areas, with a focus on Earth and Space. There are a lot of different resources, from professional development, to community projects, to science news and research. There are also free Education Modules for grade K-12 that are very comprehensive and include full lesson plans, background information, activities, assessments, inquiry based hands-on activities, rubrics, handouts and more. There are 5 modules available right now and each module is broken up into three (K-4, 5-8, 9-12) or four (K-2, 3-4, 5-8, 9-12) grade levels. Mechanics with animations and film clips: Physclips. - 0 views

"Kinematics and dynamics are presented here in multimedia, at introductory and also at deeper levels. Individual video clips and animations are suitable for use by teachers, while students may use the whole package for self instruction or for reference. Animations from Physclips require the Flash 8 Plugin. The multimedia modules have animations and film clips and are typically 3-5 Mb. The much smaller HTML versions have only text and images. (If your connection is slow, you might read some of the background links while the modules load.) "

i-SAFE Inc. - 0 views

"i-SAFE's education component provides students with dynamic, interactive, up-to-date e-Safety curriculum in the classroom, online and in the community. These prevention-oriented lessons employ peer-to-peer communication and cooperative learning activities to help students retain this valuable information. The Outreach component facilitates the extension of students' newly acquired e-Safety knowledge beyond the classrooms and introduces the entire community about the need to be safe online. Youth empowerment is the link. Students are encouraged to become student i-MENTORs who communicate the e-Safety message via peer-to-peer contact and exciting community-wide activities, events and rallies. Certification is not required to teach the lessons. However, an i-SAFE Professional Development Program (PDP) - face-to-face or online through the i-LEARN video modules - is recommended to update educators on the specific topics covered in the curriculum. Attending a PDP or completing i-LEARN online is required for an educator to train others as an i-SAFE Certified Trainer."
