She was a teacher. Now that she was near retirement, she was beginning to understand that it may soon be possible to start a new career and fulfill that invisible dream. Now she would take action that would allow her to work with many of her abilities and gifts. She would own a company. With this particular rediscovered desire came strong feelings of desire and hope-powerful feelings named 'rockets of desire.'

Like Muriel, many of us are frightened that if we do not maintain that emotional high we will not get our heart's desire. We focus on reasons why we do not have and probably can not have that desired outcome and efficiently put the brakes on our 'rocket of desire.' Unless we can look beyond what's current today and picture ourselves as we wish to be, we may possibly never achieve the level of perception necessary to have the 'rocket of need' as our new reality.

Muriel had arrived at our coaching program focused on her not enough enthusiasm. She was so worried about her declining emotions that she wasn't paying attention to what had shown up for her that week--a potential business partner. But, once Muriel found this data and comprehended where she was along the way she was able to continue the work essential to realize her dream and to understand the importance of meeting her potential business partner.

The same as Muriel, we are able to get the most from our 'rocket of desire' by recognizing it for what it is--the thrilling emotion necessary for creating a memory that sustains our hope before the 'rocket of desire' becomes our reality.
