Visions takes a closer look at the work being done around the university on learning spaces. This episode examines how we can better consider the role of design in education and how technology is just one part of the solution.

This paragraph comes from the web site of Center on Reinventing Public Education: Hosted by Robin Lake and the Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) the Washington Education Innovation Forum explores how Washington can become a leader on the most cutting edge innovations and uses of technology in education. The Forum brings together policy leaders, foundations, district leaders, and local and national technology innovators to consider how school innovation could lead to personalized and productive uses of curriculum, human resources, assessments, and instructional strategies. Each forum a featured speaker presents on next-generation schooling options across the nation and within Washington State. Each session will focus on a particular educational problem that might be addressed through innovation and technology. The sessions are designed to provoke policy discussion and action.

Thanks to Michael Horn for letting us add onto his noteworthy post "Why digital learning will liberate teachers." Here we want to second his point and add another: schools - and nations - that excel in the digital age will be those that use digital tools both to make teaching more manageable for the average teacher, and to give massively more students access to excellent teachers.
