Nvidia's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang informed investors during Nvidia's earnings calls on Wednesday that the Tegra 3 quad-core powered smartphones will make presence in the Q1 of 2012

NVIDIA, the leading mobile and PC chip maker, has officially announced its latest quad-core Tegra 3 CPU with ARM Cortex A9 technology.

CES 2015 is finally here, and all the speculation and hype is already paying off. NVIDIA has been the first to show off their coming products, but the crown jewel is the Tegra X1 SoC chip.

The quad-core Tegra 3 mobile processor was announced by NVidia before a few months and now there have been some reports from a few mobile makers that they are currently developing quad-core powered smartphones.

"If you thought the HTC Edge looked exciting, then you're going to need to sit down for the HTC Zeta. In case you missed it, the Edge was leaked last week and gave us a peak at one of the first quad-core smartphones, boasting a drool-worthy spec including a 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, a 4.7-inch screen with HD resolution and an 8 megapixel camera."
