As we all expected, today Microsoft announced the second generation of Surface tablets: Surface Pro 2 and Surface 2. There are plenty of things we can talk about so I'll try to wrap up for you and not forget anything.

The software giant is reducing the rates of its Surface RT tablet in a significant manner. Microsoft's devices struggle in intense competition of smart devices especially of Apple and Android-based ones. The rates are trimmed down as much as 30%.

Previous version of Microsoft's Surface have existed within the world of tablets, but always been there making up numbers. Not much stood out for the Surface, as it had a tuned down version of Windows (RT.), and the app store didn't compare to that of Apple iOS or Android. Microsoft has made the decision to permanently slash the price of the Surface Pro tablet in both the US and Europe after sales failed to climb following its initial release.
