Huawei, the leading Chinese IT component manufacturer, has officially released Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update for its latest U8860 Honor smartphone. This makes the company of economical smartphones the primary producer to launch the newest version of the Google operating system to a non-Nexus smartphone.

Chinese cell phone telecom carrier China Unicom and mobile manufacturer Huawei have held a shared press discussion to unveil the release of viable sales for the latest Huawei Honor with the world's most running and new version of the mobile OS, the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 Android.

"Steve Jobs famously vowed to spend his dying breath and all of Apple's cash to destroy Google's Android operating system. In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Google CEO Larry Page said that despite Jobs's rather public hatred, "the Android differences were actually for show."
