O2, the leading online mobile retailer of the United Kingdom, has announced via its coming soon page that the BlackBerry Bold 9790 will be available in January 2012.
"Buyers will be able to get their hands on the BlackBerry Bold 9790 by the end of this month, according to RIM and the smartphone is already available to pre-order with many mobile operators and online retailers."
RIM unveiled its latest Blackberry Bold 9790 smartphone last year and it was anticipated to land by the end of 2011 but due to several concerns RIM was unable to launch it within expected time frame.
RIM officially announced two latest BlackBerry 7 based smartphones: the Blackberry Curve 9380 and the Blackberry Bold 9790, according to RIM press release.
"Despite well-publicised difficulties in recent times, RIM has continued to produce a multitude of BlackBerry handsets to ensure every corner of the smartphone arena is covered. However, it is on their QWERTY-equipped devices that the brand continues to primarily focus. The Bold range represents the pinnacle of the BlackBerry design ethos, with the recently released 9900 heading up the family and featuring luxurious materials accompanying the usual BlackBerry functionality."
