Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating system does not support multi-core chipsets, but the company has been highlighting the "real world performance" of its handsets through the "Smoked by Windows Phone" challenge. Elop went on to claim that the company's flagship Lumia 900 has never been defeated by the iPhone or an Android smartphone, despite the dual-core and quad-core processors found in those devices. "
