Este portal emergiu da necessidade de percepcionar os modos como as TIC estão a ser ou podem ser utilizadas para apoiar alunos com necessidades educativas diversas. Pretende assim ser "um ponto de agregação de informação e encaminhamento para 'locais' com maior conhecimento específico" em torno do tema Multimédia e Acessibilidade.
