This tutorial will show you how to create a website template with Dreamweaver. When your website has a lot of pages and you want them to share certain design features, you can create and apply a template to them. If you have a group of pages with an applied template to it, you can change the information of the group by editing the template and then reapplying it to those pages. You can do that while keeping the unique element of each page unchanged.

Templates are especially useful when you want the same basic elements - such as logos, navigation bars and copyright information - on each page in your Web site. You can also use templates to specify background colors, font sizes, and other common settings, saving you a lot of work designing each individual page.

This tutorial is designed to teach you how to slice a complex website layout using Corel Photopaint and Macromedia Dreamweaver. You can use any 2D graphic application such as Photoshop if you do not use Photopaint.
