Last week, Google announced that they had acquired Titan Aerospace, a company that manufactures high-altitude, long endurance solar-powered UAVs. Google intends to incorporate these aircraft as part of, "Project Loon," where they intend to use unmanned aircraft (and balloons) to beam internet signals to parts of the world where internet has been largely unavailable. That, and the photos gathered from these aircraft will have FAR greater resolution that satellite imagery when used to make maps.
Well, it appears that a software bug was discovered in the code for SSL encryption. Apparently, everything sent over HTTPS for the past couple of years will be easy for a hacker to access with very little time an energy. Well... I guess it's off to change ALL of my passwords. :/
