Aircraft carriers are one of the strongest naval units, beacuse there are aircraft stationed in the ship, which can be launched anytime. It is usually called flattops since it has large surface area, with flat surface. 

Cruisers are large ship that usually carries missiles to intercept any aircrafts. Cruisers are usually used for escorting aircraft carriers and other naval units.
