This webpage promotes the awareness of pollution and introduces it to students in a fun, memorable way. As students click the places on the picture that show where humans are causing damage to the environment, they are led into even more information about the causes and what can be done to protect the environment instead. The cartoon and game-like feel to the website is sure to grab the attention of young ones!

Social Studies Alive! Online Text - 0 views

  •
This is an electronic alternative to traditional textbooks. It allows the students to see the content in a different way, for those more "visual" learners, and even has an option for the text to be read aloud, for the more "audio" learners. This site even provides the opportunity for students to access the text at home for assigned homework or check-ins following a daily lesson.

Wall Wisher - 0 views

  •
This site is easy to use! It is a great place for students to show what they have learned after a lesson, to raise questions about content that might be confusing to them and/or they want to know more about, and to read and respond to their peers' thoughts. It is a great substitute for the "exit" slip at the conclusion of a lesson.

Their goal is to share how anyone, even children, can make a difference in the lives of endangered species. Facts are shared about each endangered specie and there is an option to adopt and help out!
