Welcome to My Resource Cloud - 10 views

  •
"Why is it 'My' Resource Cloud? If you want learners to learn you must first engage them. The concept behind My Resource Cloud is that each educator tailors interactive content to suit the needs of their own learners. Thus increasing enjoyment, allowing for greater individual expression and, above all, making the work of the educator easier and more effective. My Resource Cloud consists of a number of resource sections: My Language Cloud, My Math(s) Cloud, My Science Cloud and My ICT Cloud. My Resource Cloud content and interactivity becomes individual to the users and their students. It is a Cloud Learning Environment (CLE), providing a conceptual bridge for learners between formal education and the personal web. My Resource Cloud allows users to integrate web, printed, mobile and social media based technologies to help motivate learners. Complementary and premium content and services can easily be added and subtracted. Once you select content and interactive ellements you are free to use these with ALL your students. Open and closed social media integration can be easily tailored to your own needs. Enables a tailored learning enviroment where the educator can choose their own blend that fits. "

Google For Educators - Web Search - 0 views

  •
Google Web Search - Classroom Lessons and Resources Web search can be a remarkable research tool for students - and we've heard from educators that they could use some help to teach better search skills in their classroom. The following Search Education lessons were developed by Google Certified Teachers to help you do just that. The lessons are short, modular and not specific to any discipline so you can mix and match to what best fits the needs of your classroom. Additionally, all lessons come with a companion set of slides (and some with additional resources) to help you guide your in-class discussions.

Teachers Easy Guide to The Most Important Web Tools in Education - 3 views

  •
"When it comes to using web resources with our students, time plays a decisive role.It is next to impossible for a busy teacher restricted by curriculum constraints, day to day lesson preparations, assignment corrections, to mention but a few of his chores, to effectively search the web and find the adequate resources to share with his/ her students. Most people just do not have the time to learn all these technologies and some educators pick just one or two websites of interest and start exploring them."

GO2WEB20 Blog: 39 Web-Based Tools That Don't Require Registration - 0 views

  •
As written on the post topic, you can expect to find on this upcoming list, services that don't require registration, nor download from any kind in order to use them. Tools that are really easy-to-use (most of them are single-page sites), and basically web-applications that can help on your daily internet visit/work. To be honest, it is not so hard to create lists of web 2.0 services, especially if you own a blog or a directory that contains relevant content. BUT it is definitely not easy to isolate the most useful ones from hundreds of sites.

Create an eBook from online content « History Tech - 1 views

  •
"Create an eBook from online content The world of educational resources and materials is shifting away from print stuff towards digital stuff. One of the reasons for this shift is the ease of creating and sharing digital stuff. ePUBS and tablets and apps like iBooks are merging into a mini-Perfect Storm event that supports and encourages the use of digital content. As social studies teachers, we need to take advantage of these sorts of tools. And I just ran across an incredibly easy to use online tool called Readlists that lets you create an ePUB book from resources that you find on the web. Imagine being able to create a digital book that has a variety of articles, data, and multimedia. Readlists is the latest project of the Arc90 people - the same people who created Readability."

19 Word Cloud Resources, Tips, & Tools | Teacher Reboot Camp - 10 views

  •
"Learning new vocabulary can be quite daunting for most students. We just have to look at the literacy rates to see how much children struggle with vocabulary. Rote learning of vocabulary does not really work. Experience has taught me students remember what they use and explore. Students need to have fun, engage with the material, and explore how their new knowledge works. Vocabulary lists are boring, but word clouds can be quite engaging. Therefore, I am sharing my favorite ways to help your students begin to explore new vocabulary through various word cloud tools, tips, and resources."
