What's the best way to clean a dryer vent from the outside without damaging it? - 3 views

#1 merol8 on 10 Jul 25I've been trying to keep up with regular home maintenance, but there's one thing that keeps bugging me - cleaning the dryer vent from the outside. I've cleaned the lint trap and even vacuumed inside the dryer before, but I have no clue how to properly clean the vent from the exterior. I'm worried I'll damage something if I mess with it. Has anyone here done this before? Any safe, effective methods you'd recommend?

They cover how to safely remove the vent cap, what kind of brush or vacuum attachment to use, and even how often you should do it. I followed the instructions, and the whole thing took under 30 minutes. It worked like a charm. If you're even a little bit comfortable with a screwdriver, you can probably handle it.
