  • Learning Score is a new and imaginative take on lesson-planning. Using the metaphor of a music score, Learning Score shows the planned activities for a lesson, and any multimedia attachments, as a graphical time line. Whole lesson plans can be saved, along with all the embedded resources and annotations, to be used again at a later date, or to be shared with colleagues.Learning Score was invented by John Davitt and grew out of a desire to provide teachers and learners with a modern, flexible, technology-friendly and pedagogically rigorous approach to lesson-planning that is suitable for the 21st-century classroom.

Ed Tech Axis: Copyright for Kids: A Three Part Lesson - 0 views

  •
** good to share with PLC Copyright for Kids: A Three Part Lesson One of the most challenging aspects of my job is teaching copyright to elementary school kids. They honestly just don't get the idea that they can't take others' work and then claim it as their own. It's widely known that the problem lies with 20th Century teaching in a 21st Century environment: When finding information is no longer a challenge in the age of the Internet, why do we continue to assign research projects that register way-low on Bloom's taxonomy (Remember, Understand)? We need to cater our projects to the higher levels, like analyze, evaluate and create. So if I'm going to walk the walk, I need to create a project that helps students to evaluate, analyze and synthesize information and ideas about COPYRIGHT.

The Winnie the Pooh Guide to Blogging - Copyblogger - 0 views

  • glucose-low grumpiness
  • Tug on their sleeve. Tap on their shoulder. Pull on their hand. Whisper in their ear.
  • If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.
  • ...4 more annotations...
  • People really do have fluff in their ears, so work on conveying your message more effectively in your comment section or write up a new post to clarify the concept.
  • The bigger picture was more important than the little hitches along the way.
  • Obstacles cropped up constantly, but that didn’t bother Pooh either. He expected adversity to happen. When it did, Pooh seemed almost pleased, as if he were greeting an old friend come to visit.
  • You’ve come this far, and you can do it again, so there’s no point in getting stressed out until your seams split. Make a new plan and get on with it.
  •
Given that the happiness and feelings of his friends are Pooh's chief concern (other than hunny, that is), he'd likely build a strong community as a blogger. Here are six social media lessons we can all learn from the lovable bear who's stuffed with fluff.
