Hey team, since Evernote won't cooperate for me for what ever reason, I'd like to share my initial thoughts on the subject matter prior to my research. I think it would be to our benefit (both for the sake of debate & our grade) to use both meanings of literacy for our arguments. In this case, literacy as in one's reading, writing, and comprehension skills and one's digital literacy as in efficiency with technology. Both these "faces" of literacy can help give our arguments extra cushioning when we discuss emerging technologies and outlets such as social networking, texting, online media, etc. Until Evernote allows me to start posting, I'll be exclusively posting my research links and thoughts in here. Thanks.

I think your on the right track. Literacy is already defined as all literacy (including technology and digital). I like your idea we need to find point to drive that home. Can you do a little write up here to enforce your idea?

Now that Evernote is working for me, I will add my thoughts to each piece of research I find on there with any and all links posted here as well.

By the way, great article! The video is very good as well. We might want to embed it into the final project.

Yeah that could be good. The speaker seems to drive the point home.
