    FYI,
In conjunction with the Utrecht University Summer School the Faculties of Education of Heidelberg and Utrecht Universities of Applied Sciences offer a 5-day, international course exploring the educational potential of Interactive Whiteboards.
During plenary sessions the generic functionalities of Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) will be demonstrated and related educational concepts, including relevant educational research findings, will be presented and discussed. In break-out sessions participants will be coached to operationalise the knowledge acquired in these sessions by assessing materials for specific curriculum areas and exploring related pedagogical principles.

These discipline-specific meetings also offer opportunities to design content for participants' personal teaching practices and collaboratively review the materials and activities produced.
To promote post-course collaboration and stimulate continuing professional development the participants will be encouraged to keep contributing to the collective resources and to join relevant professional networks and communities of practice (CoPs) presented during the course.

    Dates: 13-07-2009 - 17-07-2009

N.B. Participants who would like to extend their visit to the Netherlands can apply for an additional period of campus accommodation at 125 Euro per week.
