Overstock.com SEO tactics get noticed by google. "Less than two weeks after a New York Times article revealed JC Penney using black-hat SEO tactics to improve organic search engine rankings, Google has now penalized Overstock.com. The retailer offered product discounts to university students and faculty in exchange for posting links to Overstock.com on the university websites."

An issue of reliability and not double checking how computer procedures are controlled.

This is a very thorough site that provides advice on all aspects of computer security, including passwords, phishing, identity theft, and how to protect yourself online. Each section has advice for novice computer users and there is also a useful section on security policies for the university.

The annual Horizon Report describes the continuing work of the New Media Consortium's Horizon Project, a qualitative research project established in 2002 that identifies and describes emerging technologies likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning, or creative inquiry on college and university campuses within the next five years.
