How the iPad is becoming an assistive device. In fact, I have a friend who is failing from ALS. She uses her iPad to type and have the iPad read out what she wants to say.

Interesting development of a very expensive Chinese version of the iPad: RedPad Number One. Seems it caters for government officials and Communist Party members, hence the high price tag.

With e-readers like Apple's new iPad and Amazon's Kindle touting their vast libraries of digital titles, some bookworms are bound to wonder if tomes-on-paper will one day become quaint relics. But the question also arises, which is more environmentally friendly: an e-reader or an old-fashioned book?
