Brainstorming is a large or small group activity which encourages children to focus on a topic and contribute to the free flow of ideas. The teacher may begin by posing a question or a problem, or by introducing a topic. Students then express possible answers, relevant words and ideas. Contributions are accepted without criticism or judgement. Initially, some students may be reluctant to speak out in a group setting but brainstorming is an open sharing activity which encourages all children to participate. By expressing ideas and listening to what others say, students adjust their previous knowledge or understanding, accommodate new information and increase their levels of awareness.

This is Christine S. Mulligan's Doctoral Dissertation for Columbia U. In it she discusses museums' online activities that interact with young people. Her interest is the educational purpose and design of online art-making. Although her focus is wholly on online art activities sponsored by museums, I feel her findings could apply to apps art activities for school learning.
"Mobile technology and liberal education" interrogates the effects of changing technologies on how we teach and how liberal education is able to help us cope with the information revolution technology has wrought.
"iTeaching and Learning" covers using iPad in particular in several academic fields, including music, but not including fine arts! My students would use iPads for the psychomotor assignments.
This site is one of many on the National Gallery of Art's Education pages. The Teachers one offers lessons, slideshows and videos on art people and topics. The Kids site allows children to produce visual art online right then and there. The site's Collage Machine could substitute for Pinterest in my lesson.

EASTERN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING: EASTERN PRINCIPLES FOR LEARNING WHOLENESS MAI P. TRINH DAVID A. KOLB Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management Department of Organizational Behavior
ABSTRACT Although Experiential Learning Theory originated in the work of Western scholars, Many of their theoretical principles have a decidedly Eastern orientation. In this essay we draw out these Eastern principles of experiential learning and suggest an Eastern perspective on learning wholeness in one's life and career based on an ontological approach to adult development that emphasizes existential ways of being in the here and now -centering, balance, harmony and flowing in the watercourse way.

A really interesting article about the relationship between small organizations and e-learning. I found it particularly interesting since I work for a very small organization that has no e-learning training at all, and my project is based around provided that for them.
Accounting Bibliography in case you want to dive into the body of knowledge called "Accounting". I just discovered this myself. I would like to see accounting principles be taught in the schools 12th grade, or maybe 6th. All they need is basic math. Anyone want to do some action research on it? With me? For some reason, I did not find this discussion thread until now. I just published my bibliography entries in the ITEC-801 Bibliography section of Diigo. I'm guessing that everyone else in the class posted here by replying to this thread from a Tweet or email. Instead, I just started using Diigo to bookmark my designated sites and used the "Share" function to add them to the actual ITEC801 group. So, my bibliography references are located here: https://groups.diigo.com/group/itec801
