This study was done overseas in England. The sight itself is very well labeled, and easy to navigate. I find this article very important for my topic since agriculture class and FFA go hand and hand. I would find it to be a very good article for anyone who is relating extracurricular activities and school work.
This article covers how important extracurricular activities are. The researcher sent home a survey to mothers. The survey contained questions asking about behavior and whether or not the kids participated in activities. The study showed a majority of students participated in extracurricular activities of some sort. As well the study shows students in activities have better behavior and are less violent in school.
To start of I think there are some very positive things about this article. The article is very clear form the get go on what the subject is. The reader should have an easy time fallowing through the acritical, and the author wrote it well. On the flip side of things this article seem very dated (1997) and was done in another country. So it might not seem very relative to the school and activities in the states.

For the second article I decided to "choose creating and measuring success in agriculture education." This article was not so much of a study but an article point future teachers in the right direction. The attended audience for this sight is future agriculture educators. The article talks about how agriculture class is much more than cow, plow and sows. Agriculture implements math, science, economics and o much more. A teacher should not focus on FFA in the curriculum, but more of the math and science. This will help give students a better understanding on how the "real world" works, and that's how we measure student success.
Now, I fully understand this article may be biases towards how productive FFA and agriculture education since the article was done in FFA magazine. However, this sight is very productive for future educators. The sight does a good job identifying the author, and is more up-to-date than the last article I talked about. As well to me this article seems very creditable.
