This website, Interactive Sites for Education, is a very well put together site. This site is separated into different subjects, which are then separated into different topics. All the resources on this site are technology integration tools such as video, games, and virtual lessons. All the resources are external links to the source. This website was created and designed by Karen Ogen, an educator with background in technology integration.
The content presented on this site is accurate and useful. Each resource can be used in a classroom. The author is clearly qualified to be presenting and providing this information. However, there is not direct sponsor for this site, so the author is the individual who created and maintains it. This site provides know direct external links, but the resources do open in a separate window. Overall, the content on this website is worth using.
The design of this website is very simple. The home page states the purpose of the site, and the grade level intended. There are then multiple computer screen clipart's, each labeled with a different subject. Each subject has the same layout, but with topics instead. There are different sources in each topic. This site has no general directions on how to navigate it, but it is simple to do so. Each resource, when opened, has directions to go with it. Older material has not been removed, but each source is still useful and relevant to teaching. This website loads fast and is easy to use and find resources on. The design is well done.
