ReadWriteThink offers interactive tools - these could be a great option for when students need to create their own games / review activities. 59 Tools (14 currently can be saved/shared - currently trying to make more of them saveable). ReadWriteThink is working on an app for iOS (currently heavily Flash driven)

Trading Card App (characters fictional or real) and Word Mover (magnetic poetry) - Apps for both iOS and Android coming soon.

Not a new tool - but a refresher of the resources and content on the website. Provides educators/students resources including lesson plans and examples of student work. Many of the examples are for reading/language arts, but can easily be adopted for other subject areas (all grade levels).

Offers strategy guides for different technology topics

Another fake version of Facebook that could be used to summarize events/history through the eyes of a character (historical or from a novel). Students would have to show understanding and creativity to fill in the Facebook-esq info.

Funny (fictional) Tweets by historical figures - summery of the person's contributions in 140 characters. Some of the Tweets are not kid friendly, so read in advance. Check ReadWriteThink to find the lesson plan for students to write their own historical text messages.

The site provides resources for teachers to reinforce important safety rules for online behavior and digital citizenship.
