Hamas rejected an Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire with Israel on Tuesday, moments after the Israeli Cabinet accepted the plan, throwing into disarray international efforts to end a week of fighting that has killed 192 Palestinians and exposed millions of Israelis to Hamas rocket fire.
Israel's army on Sunday said two more soldiers had been killed in fighting in and around the Gaza Strip, bringing the total Israeli death toll to seven.

GAZA/JERUSALEM, July 28 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian was killed and 10 others injured on Sunday after Israeli war jets resumed airstrikes on Gaza, where a UN-proposed humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Hamas collapsed.
