The coins and paper currency both are under discussion by numbers of economic experts in Iraq. The experts are looking for the best method of payment system in the country. Some of the economists are in the favor of coins and some other are against the issuance of coins in Iraq market.

The central bank of Iraq announced on Wednesday about the contract it signed with an international company to manufacture the gold ingot. The international coin manufacturing company will manufacture the gold coins that will be sold to the general public in the country.

The Central bank of Iraq has to spend a huge amount of cash for the issuance of these notes in the market. Contrary to this the coins have longer age than that of paper currency and it can be stored for a longer period of time for the future use.

The coin will have an important role and is effective in raising the value of the Iraqi dinar. The only way the coin will work is to remove the 3 zeros and add value to it. The Central Government and Kurdistan Region have reached a compromise over exporting the oil and endorsing the Budget.
