      this is a great idea to save both you and the student. keep it one on one.
  • Whenever there is a confrontation in class there is a winner and a loser. Obviously as the teacher, you need to keep order and discipline in your class. However, it is much better to deal with discipline issues privately than cause a student to 'lose face' in front of their friends. It is not a good idea to make an example out of a disciplinary issue. Even though other students might get the point, you might have lost any chance of actually teaching that student anything in your class.

      Could have a class Twitter to share with all of the students. In the secondary classroom, a lot of my students will already have Twitter. I could also use it like this article suggests- with other teachers.

      I love the idea of getting the students engaged- it allows them to have a part in their education.

      I want to do this in a lot of ways, not like an elementary school classroom where there are parent aides necessarily, but with parents being aware and informed of classroom details.

    This is a very informative website which helps foods teachers and students to know everything they need to know about selecting ,using, and taking care of kitchen knives. The website explains the different parts of a knife, the different types of knives and blades, the purpose and characteristics of each type of knife, how to choose and purchase a good knife, and how to sharpen, store, and take care of kitchen knives. I've highlighted what I feel are the most important points to know within the webpage.
