"I am revisiting this topic of enhancing students creativity using iPad apps for the second time this year. Almost 10 months ago I featured here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning a selection of some great apps that can be used in class to boost students creative thinking; and today and after having reviewed hundred of new educational apps since that post, I decided to compile an updated version of that list and include some newly featured apps in the category of creativity. Of course by creativity I mean giving students the chance to take their learning to the next step, one in which they are active producers and participators in knowledge building. Creativity is all about creation and iPad is an ideal device to support this creative thinking. Check out the apps I have handpicked for you today and share with us if you have other suggestions :"

"We have been using the iPads in our Year 6 classroom. The students were very excited at the prospect of using iPads in our day-to-day learning. Our aim with the iPad was to use them for as many hours in the school day as we could. We have found the iPads beneficial in English groups and Maths groups. I have downloaded many applications for the students to use. I have noticed that new apps are added each day so regularly checking the app store has been beneficial. "

It's quite amazing what apps are available for the iPhone now. Check this out from Cinemek and view some of their other tutorial videos for it via their Vimeo

Seek 'n Spell is a, "a real-time GPS-based word building competition." The object of the game is to create words by collecting letters. The catch is the letters are located outdoors. You collect letters by finding the letters based on GPS location. Your iPhone's screen displays where each letter is located and then you must run (or walk) to that location in order to obtain the letter. You want to collect letters that will create the longest word…think real life Scrabble. To get a true feel of the application you will want to check out the demo video below.

Where many articles before have focused on the settings and technical aspects of getting the most from your iPad, this article is really about customising your ipad. The iPad is an incredibly versatile device that can enhance your life in many different ways but all iPads behave identically when you first get them out of the box.
