"I am a huge hockey fan. I have been playing hockey for well over 15 years, and watching it on TV for even longer than that. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are nearing their end, and watching these entire hockey playoffs made me think about what might be some cool and useful applications on iOS for hockey lovers. It began with a styrofoam coffee cup; you could call it the first koostik. For a year after that first experiment, I made dozens of prototypes in wood in my home workshop. With each new piece I was getting a little closer to the goal of a balance between aesthetics and functionality.
