"Preparing for a guest blog for Computer Explorers on the topic of "How Can iPads Support Literacy?", I spent some time looking for a few of my favorite titles of the "I Like…" series in the app store to determine which ones were currently free. And do you know what I found? Not one… but 37 Books in 1 for… free."
"The end result is a number of Apps that allow you to collect, curate, make connections and then share sites, blogs, articles or websites around similar ideas or concepts. One of these is Pearltrees. I like this concept because it such a visual interface that it allows the viewer to see the physical links between ideas. In a way it is similar to the way that an App like Wikinodes deals with searches in Wikipedia."
"Despite it's erroneous claims to be "the first professional synthesizer designed for the iPad", a PR statement which has caused a flurry of disgruntled comments from some of the music press and a number of very fine iOS Developers, Animoog by Moog Music Inc is definitely a great sounding Synth app with a fine looking UI."
If you follow my blog, you will know that Ms. Carnazzo has quite the iLesson toolkit (e.g short vowel sounds with Songify, Math fact families with Talking Tom and friends, classifying motion with iCardSort, and integrating Math and literacy using Puppet Pals Director's Pass) for utilizing one iPad in her elementary classroom."
"This is a supplement to "Appy Hours 4 You" Blog Talk Radio Show: Episode 6 - "Music 4 the Classroom". In this episode, we featured 7 free and paid apps that can be utilized for music production. We discussed the functionality of each app and what features were available as in-app purchases."
