    Brainpop
Brainpop is a resource that teachers and students can use to extend what they are doing in class. The website has a wide range of subjects core subjects as well as health, engineering/tech, music and art. The site has movies and games to reinforce the subject matter. While there is are a limited number of free modules the vast majority of the subject matter is a fee based. There are various subscriptions for family, classrooms, districts, etc. There are a number of Brainpop apps that augment the original site.
The most important criteria I think you need to look at when using websites or apps is how does it change the way a student can learn the material. One of the goals of using this type of technology is to differentiate instruction. If the website or app attacks the subject matter from a different perspective then it has a much greater chance of being useful.
