The UI main library has created a wonderful new collaborative space and the biggest complaints we receive is that it is too loud. It is very hard to balance the varying needs of students but their expectation of a library is that it will be quiet!

During the ILA Planning Day meeting, this book was recommended as it has interesting ideas on what associations such as ILA and ILA/ACRL should do to stay relevant.

If you attended Steven Bell's session on gatekeeping, he recommended this book. I have only read one chapter but it is an easy and thought-provoking read so far!

Having just opened the Learning Commons at the University of Iowa, this has been an interesting read!
