Crude oil for July delivery is trading down 50 cents at USD 95.68 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Yesterday, the June contract lost 55 cents, or 0.6 percent, to settle at USD 96.16 a barrel. The June contract expired at the end of the Nymex trading session. July became the front-month contract. The market failed to rebound on Thursday despite upside in Asian markets and further upmove in European markets. Technology, auto, oil and FMCG stocks dragged the market down while capital goods & pharma supported. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 114.06 points to 27573.66 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 34.50 points to 8328.55. The broader markets, too, declined in late trade. At last, the Sensex shut at 26,433 down 62 points, while NSE Nifty shut at 7,992 down 26 points. The BSE Mid-cap quit for the day at 10,128, while BSE Small-cap shut down 0.35% at 10,575. Tata Power, Bajaj Auto, Kotak Bank, Idea Cellular, ICICI Bank and HDFC were among the gainers on NSE, while Vedanta, NMDC, Hindalco Industries, TCS, Tata Motors and HCL Tech were among the washouts today.

The stock market is travelling by air, BSE Sensex is surges 271.05 points to 27104.25 and NSE Nifty is up 65.90 points to 8158.56. The stock market is in support of banks, capital goods and oil sectors. Reliance, Cipla, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and ITC are the top gainers while Bharti, GAIL and Hindalco are major losers in Sensex.

Stocks of Reliance industries, HDFC, L&T, ITC, ONGC, Wipro, Bharti Airtel and Vedanta added 1-2 percent. Hindalco jump 2 percent as LIC raised the stocks in the Company. However, BHEL, Tata motors, Cipla and HUL fell 0.3-1 percent, The Indian rupee has opened with slight gain of 5 paise at 63.68 per dollar today compared to previous day's closing.

The Realty, FMCG and Bankex records are down 0.2 percent each. The expansiveness is somewhat positive in the morning arrangements - out of 1,871 stocks exchanged on the BSE 944 stocks have propelled, while 856 stocks have declined. In the Oil & Gas space - Cairn India and BPCL have surged 2 percent every at Rs. 185 and Rs. 865, individually. Hindustan Petroleum has hopped more than 1.5 percent at Rs. 737.

Spot gold had risen USD 1.15 an ounce to USD 1,463.65 by 0025 GMT, having posted its biggest weekly gain in three months last week.
