The MCX April contract for natural gas has opened down this morning at a commodity price of 193.9 per MMBTU vs. previous close of 194.8 made the same level as an intraday high and last traded at 190.7 down by 4.1 rupees price. The said contract has made an intraday low at 189.5.

Gold closed same as day before yesterday at $1386, as the advance was contained by the Fibonacci retracement levels at $1425. This is the 38.2% retracement of the decline of the April high of $1590. While the downtrend is still very much there but the trend is weakening as gold slowly moves higher. Still, we are neutral as we are trading within its range. Silver also closed at $21.81, but the trading volume is still low. Spot gold had risen USD 1.15 an ounce to USD 1,463.65 by 0025 GMT, having posted its biggest weekly gain in three months last week. Oil futures plunged Wednesday after a after a closely watched report showed U.S. oil inventories rose to their highest level in more than three decades last week. Crude oil stockpiles surged 6.7 million barrels to 395.3 million barrels during the week ended April 26, the Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday. Oil inventories are now at their highest level since the agency began reporting weekly oil stocks in 1982. The steep increase was due largely to a rise in U.S. oil imports. MCX Gold April contract dropped sharply last week, especially on Friday and breached 30300 level and closed near 30194. The development is confirmed with the view that fall from 32454 is still in progress. Near term outlook stays bearish as long as 30840 minor resistances holds. Current decline should target a test on 29614 & 28769 low next. In the long term picture, with 28769 support intact, there is no change in the long term bullish outlook in gold.
