Market ended lower on 3rd successive day today. The Sensex slipped 71.54 points to 25230.36 while the Nifty slipped by 18.65 points to 7731.05. About 1077 shares advanced while 1501 shares declined. ITC gained 4.99 percent to 346.85. Power Grid Corp surged by 2.31 percent to 148.15. Tata Power, Ambuja Cements, Adani Ports, ACC, Bharti Infratel were the gainers.

November 25, 2011, Los Angeles - Gold bullion prices rose in light trading 0.18 percent or $3.00 to close at $1,694.50 an ounce on Thursday, as France and Germany agreed to halt bickering in public over whether the European Central Bank (ECB) should do more to rescue the eurozone from its widening debt crisis. The price of Silver advanced 0.38 percent or $0.12 to close at $31.80 an ounce while the Gold/Silver ratio, the number of ounces of Silver it takes to buy one ounce of Gold, edged down to 53.29 as Silver outperformed Gold.

The 50-share NSE Nifty breached 7800 level for the first time since August 18, 2014, down 61.55 points or 0.78 percent at 7798.40. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 179.46 points or 0.68 percent to 26117.92. About 621 shares have advanced, 828 shares declined, and 50 shares are unchanged. Shares of Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ITC, L&T and Wipro declined 1-2.5 percent while Infosys, Hero Motocorp and TCS bucked the trend. cle. Looking at daily Nifty Charts and reports at present the narrow range body formation reflects indecisiveness prevailing at current levels. Hence, if indices trade above 18,185 / 5,460 levels then they are likely to test 18,330-18,410 / 5,495-5,530. On the downside, 18,010 - 17,924 / 5,412 - 5,375 are the crucial support levels for the indices. Any breach of below this levels would intensify the selling pressure.
