Gold futures on domestic exchanges were trading flat as a firm rupee against the dollar offset gains from rise in COMEX futures. Spot silver prices gave crucial breakdown below $26.5 on Weekly close. Prices have already given breakdown below long term trend line in weekly. Prices are expected to target $22.7 which is 261.8% Fibonacci retracement level of consolidation from $35.4 to $30.5 which earlier halted at 161.8% Fibonacci retracement around $28.10%. Oil futures plunged Wednesday after a after a closely watched report showed U.S. oil inventories rose to their highest level in more than three decades last week. Crude oil stockpiles surged 6.7 million barrels to 395.3 million barrels during the week ended April 26, the Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday. Oil inventories are now at their highest level since the agency began reporting weekly oil stocks in 1982. The steep increase was due largely to a rise in U.S. oil imports. Base metal futures may rise early next week on hopes of improved demand following upbeat US jobs data, but profit booking at higher levels and demand concerns from China will limit gains. The price of copper responded with unusual vigor to Friday's strong payroll report. The metal's most actively traded futures contract jumped 6.8%, hitting a threeweek high and staging what Dow Jones Newswires says was the biggest single-day gain in a year and a half. Copper finished up over 6% as shorts scrambled to cover after Nonfarm Payrolls and the Unemployment Rate in the US came in better than expected. As per the weekly chart above of Silver future: Prices have witnessed a consolidation phase after declining sharply in the month of Feb.&last day of previous month, also has small support at 51200 level. Analysing the above chart, it has been noticed that a break‐out above/ below 2‐weeks high/low is seen as reversal in the short‐term trend. China PMI numbers has declined and so are the non ferrous metals that were surging higher until yesterday on the back of expectations of rise in PMI. The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector fell to 50.4 percent in January from 50.6 percent in December, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said Friday. Precious metals prices rose in unison with equities and commodities on Friday, notching a weekly gain, after U.S. nonfarm payrolls data showed modest job growth in January. SILVER prices on MCX declined. At 11:07 hrs MCX SILVER March contract was trading at Rs 58282 down Rs 136, or 0.23%.
