Economic Outlook For Rest Of 2014: Acceleration - 0 views

  •
Summary US households and businesses have accumulated enormous hoards of liquidity. The gradual normalization of risk aversion and liquidity preferences will drive a significant acceleration of spending growth. On aggregate, the balance sheets of consumers and businesses - and their liquidity position in particular - are the most favorable they have been in the past three decades. The average age of household consumer durables and US business capital stock is at a record high, suggesting that there is significant pent-up demand. A self-sustaining cycle of improved sentiment, accelerated spending and higher income seems to have already kicked off. In this report, I will briefly outline the impact of accelerated US growth on key investable asset classes, such as the S&P 500, 10Y US Treasury yields and gold. In the wake of the financial crisis of 2007-2009, the recovery has been the weakest of any sustained economic expansion in US history. However, the US economy seems poised for a significant acceleration for the remainder of 2014. Consumer Spending To Accelerate Many analysts are still talking about "balance sheet recessions" and "household deleveraging." The problem is that was yesterday's news. After several years of restructuring, reduced spending growth, increased savings rates and debt-reduction, US household balance sheets are in better shape than they have been since the early to mid-1980s, based on a wide variety of metrics. Whether you look at debt service-to-income, debt-to-income, consumer loan delinquency rates, cash balances as a percent of income, or household net worth, the US consumer balance sheets are, on aggregate, in the best shape they have been in several decades. Business Expenditure There are several reasons to believe that the business expenditure cycle will accelerate appreciably in 2014. First, the age of US capital stock is at an all-time high, meaning that there is considerable pent-up demand to

Combine Double Bottoms with Bollinger Bands To Get The Relative Limits - 0 views

  •
There are many known patterns of technical analysis such as double tops, double bottoms, ascending triangles etc. This indicator helps you to recognize the highs and lows of the prices of stocks in a day. Some more characteristics of the stocks are also easy to understand with the help of this trading strategy. You can know whether the stock is trending or not. You may also judge whether the stock is volatile or not. When you use Bollinger bands, you find that the bands twisted tightly. This twisting of bands indicates that the stock is traded in a narrow range. This means at this moment there will be price breakout or breakdown.

While Investing in stock, You Must Never Be Worried If Stock Dip Rises - 0 views

  •
Everyone knows that share prices dip or rises. But in long run, they rise. One cannot lose or gain until one sells or purchases. So if you are having the share and share prices are down, simply do not sell your script. Or if share prices are high do not purchase them. Higher or lower value is when you are selling/purchasing it. Not if you are holding it. While holding is only on paper it does not matter.

Low crude prices good for India and indian stock market - 0 views

  •
According to Richard Gibbs of Macquarie Securities reduced crude prices goes in favour of the Indian economy and gives RBI a scope for monetary accommodation Richard Gibbs Global HD, Macquarie More about the Expert Richard Gibbs, Global Head of Macquarie Securities is upbeat on India because he thinks there is room for structural expansion and the demand is much better than anywhere else in the world. According to him reduced crude prices goes in favour of the Indian economy and gives RBI a scope for monetary accommodation. It is also likely to produce some tailwind for the global economy. "It certainly provides latitude on the trade side but also in terms of the inflation side for the economy as well." The house remains a buyer on India. What is the sense you are getting. Are we now facing a fairly big challenge to global growth and therefore are risk assets going to head lower? A: I think the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is articulating that fairly well as we move into the IMF World Bank annual meeting in the next few days. It really is a case where the US is I suppose the best if you see IMF's parlance and that's for investors who have been searching for growth is a disappointment. So, now I suspect we are going to have people turning back towards in search for yield and that has become difficult as well with the expansion in quantitative easing measures around the world but most particularly by the European Central Bank of course. At the end of the day lower crude prices are probably growth positive and the issue there is whether they pertaining further disinflationary pressure/deflationary pressure in the major economies. Certainly for an economy like India, cooling in crude prices is a positive. It certainly provides latitude on the trade side but also in terms of the inflation side for the economy as well. It's a bit of a two-edged sword as I suppose in that sense but overall lower crude prices are likely to produce some tailwind for the global eco
