Gold looses a few dollars but remaining almost flat during yesterday's session. Bullion continue to trade within a narrow range, and trying hard to stabilized above the US$1,570-80/ounce levels. Gold prices remained flat yesterday but could not give breakout on either side. Prices have intraday resistance at $1586 i.e. Rs.29490 and breakout can be seen above this for $1599 i.e. Rs.29660. On lower side prices have support at $1570 i.e. Rs.29260 and if prices give breakdown below this then can test $1555 i.e. Rs.29040.... In the international market gold-silver remains sluggish. Comex gold is trading down by a modest 0.15 percent, although prices still remain above $ 1,600. Precious metals stayed strong, but eased off earlier 3-week highs after Cyprus' parliament rejected a tax on bank deposits which cast doubt on the country's bailout package, affirming a need for flight-to-safety buying. Crude oil for July delivery is trading down 50 cents at USD 95.68 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Yesterday, the June contract lost 55 cents, or 0.6 percent, to settle at USD 96.16 a barrel. The June contract expired at the end of the Nymex trading session. July became the front-month contract. Oil futures plunged Wednesday after a after a closely watched report showed U.S. oil inventories rose to their highest level in more than three decades last week. Crude oil stockpiles surged 6.7 million barrels to 395.3 million barrels during the week ended April 26, the Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday. Oil inventories are now at their highest level since the agency began reporting weekly oil stocks in 1982. The steep increase was due largely to a rise in U.S. oil imports.
