"Job Summary: Seeking an educational leader to promote and advance the academic and social development of each student.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Serves as the administrative and instructional leader of the school.
* Provides continuous supervision, direction and evaluation of all the educational programs within the school.
* Promotes instructional practices responsive to student needs and ensure that adequate instructional support is available for students and teachers.
* Selects assigns and supervises all instructional and support personnel in conjunction with the department chairs.
* Oversees necessary curriculum and instructional changes in order to best meet the needs of all students and improve student achievement.
* Oversees budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree from an accredited institution. Substantial graduate study in educational administration, supervision, child development, and curriculum important. CAGS in educational administration preferred.
* Certification as secondary school principal.
* Exemplary experience in a secondary administrative position such as the principalship, assistant principalship, or a position of comparable authority preferred. At least 3-5 years experience as a classroom teacher at the middle school level required.
