Realistic Chic: Guest Post: Arcadian Lighting - 0 views

  • A dash of colour in the hall always makes a big impact. Even though this is a transitional space it doesn't mean that homeowners should scrimp on style. A great colour scheme, a few choice pieces of furniture or wall decor elements, and a one-of-a-kind light fixture are all that are needed for a fashionable hallway. Here are eight spaces with a dash of colour in the hall.
  • Running colour A dash of colour in the hall comes in the form of a vivid striped stair runner as well as a collection of vintage watering cans on display on top of a shelf.

Hallway is also a place to show off your decorating ideas. What I like about the post is that it has lots inspiration photo to look at!

India Art n Design: Colour & Your Child - 0 views

  • Sift the positive from the negative with colour cues...your child’s best ally. Research indicates that a growing child’s ever-changing preferences for colour can be attuned to a collective response rather than isolated colours or instances. It helps to remember that today’s child is individualistic, sensitive, and confident, with defined likes and dislikes. The correct use of colour can thus show very positive results in him.

Floor tiles collection Petrifield Tree in living room, bedroom - 0 views

  •
Imagine to get lost in a prehistoric forest completely fossilized.Trunks are undamaged but there is no more sap running through them. There are crystals of precious minerals filling the skeletons of raw petrified bark. The wood becomes a stone through the silicization process. This allows the organic materials settled in the trunk of the tree to become minerals (mostly quartz and silicates). Petrification takes place underneath the ground, when the trees are covered by sediments which prevent the oxygen from reaching them. Rain water, which is rich in salts, penetrates and flows down through the forest, giving the petrified wood further colours and shades. The wood gets a different colour and charm according to the nature of the territory where the petrification takes place. The tree becomes a stone, while keeping the original structure of the bark and the wood, resulting in a precious product, which is a realmiracle of nature. Elements such as manganese, iron, copper and contaminated quartz crystals give the petrified wood a variety of tones.
